Since it's inception in 1946, The Augusta Kennel Club of Augusta, Georgia has enjoyed a rich and vibrant history of protecting and promoting the interests of all breeds of purebred dogs. Our members practice responsible pet ownership and train others in the community how to be a responsible pet owner through our community activities and seminars. As a member in good standing of the American Kennel Club, Inc. , we hold sanctioned matches and dog shows twice a year under the rules of the American Kennel Club.
Our members include AKC judges, breeders, trainers, exhibitors, owners and dog fanciers, who with their dogs participate in conformation, obedience, rally, herding, agility, breed rescue, tracking, therapy dog programs, field trials, lure coursing, and working dog sport / schutzhund.
